Chorevana

Privacy Policy

Effective September 29, 2026

The short version. Chorevana stores what your family needs to run its chores and rewards: names, tasks, points, and rewards. Only people in your family can see it. Accounts are for adults. Children use Chorevana only through a profile a parent creates. We collect only what the app needs, never show ads, and never sell data. You can delete everything from the app at any time.

Who we are

Chorevana is a family chore, task, and reward app, made by Fuimus Labs. Fuimus Labs is a trade name of Cabal Enterprises, LLC, which is responsible for your information as described in this policy ("we", "us", "our").

This policy applies to the Chorevana app on iOS and Android. If you have questions, email support@fuimuslabs.com.

Information we collect

  • Account holders (parents and co-parents). Your name, email address, and password. The password is handled by Firebase Authentication, and we never see it. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email address from that account. We also record that you confirmed you are 18 or older, and when account holders in your family last signed in, which we use to delete inactive families.
  • Family settings. Your family's name, time zone, day-reset time, and preferences.
  • Family member profiles, including children. A parent creates these. Each has a first name or nickname and an optional 4–6 digit PIN, which we store only as a one-way hash. Each also holds assigned tasks, completion history, points, streaks, rewards and redemptions, reminders, backlog notes, and bonus-time and mystery-spin history. For a child's profile we also keep a record of the parent's consent: who gave it, when, and which version of this policy.
  • Things your family creates. Task titles and descriptions, reward and prize names, categories, and notes.
  • Linked family devices. A phone or tablet can join your family with a Family Code. For it we store a device name your family chooses (for example "Kids' tablet"), when it was linked and last used, and a random ID that keeps it signed in.
  • Notifications. Push-notification tokens for account holders' devices, plus in-app notification history (for example "Ava finished her tasks for today"). Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging, which delivers push notifications, also receives an app-instance ID and delivery statistics for those devices. Linked family devices never register for push notifications.
  • Subscription. Your plan, status, trial and renewal dates, and the store product ID. RevenueCat gives us these, keyed to a random ID linked to your account.
  • Technical information. Our servers automatically log each request with its IP address, device and operating-system type, and time. We also use IP addresses to limit repeated Family Code guesses, and for that purpose we store them only as a one-way hash.
  • Age check when you create an account. On iPhone and Android, Chorevana asks your device's app store (Apple's Declared Age Range or Google Play's Age Signals) whether you are 18 or older. The answer is used only on your device, to stop people under 18 from creating an account. We don't send it to our servers or keep it.

We do not collect birthdays or ages, precise location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone input, or advertising identifiers.

How we use it

  • To run Chorevana: syncing your family's tasks, points, and rewards across devices, and sending the reminders and notifications you turn on.
  • To manage subscriptions and free trials.
  • To keep Chorevana secure, for example by protecting Family Codes from guessing and preventing abuse.
  • To answer you when you contact us.
  • To find and fix problems.

We do not sell your information, we do not show ads, and we do not use your information for advertising.

Analytics. We may add Google Analytics for Firebase to learn, in aggregate, which features get used. If we do, we will use it only on parent accounts, never on linked family devices or children's profiles, never for advertising, and with advertising identifiers turned off. We will update this policy before turning it on.

Children's information (notice to parents)

Chorevana is a family app, so children use it, but only through a parent. This section is our notice to parents under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). It applies to every child's profile, whatever the child's age.

  • Accounts are for adults only. Only adults (18+) may create a Chorevana account. A parent or legal guardian creates each child's profile. Before you add a child, we ask you to confirm that you are the child's parent or legal guardian and that you agree to this policy.
  • What we collect about children: the first name or nickname you enter; an optional PIN (stored only as a hash); the tasks, completions, points, streaks, rewards, reminders, and history described above; and backlog notes a child may type. If a child uses a family device linked with a Family Code, we also collect what we need to keep that device signed in and secure: the random device ID, session tokens, and the IP address in our server logs.
  • What we don't do: we don't ask children for an email address, phone number, birthday, photo, voice, or location. We don't show ads. We don't send push notifications to linked family devices. We don't run analytics on linked devices or children's profiles. Children cannot post publicly or message anyone outside the family.
  • How we use it: only to provide Chorevana to your family and keep it secure and working.
  • Who can see it: members of your family, and the service providers listed below, which process it only for us. We don't share children's information with anyone else unless the law requires it.
  • Your rights as a parent: you can review your child's information in the app or export it to a spreadsheet. You can change it, or delete it by removing the child's profile. You can stop further collection by removing the profile or unlinking a device. You can also email us to do any of these. We will never require a child to share more than Chorevana needs.
  • How long we keep it: only while the child's profile exists and your family account is active. We delete a child's information within 30 days after the profile is removed, the family is deleted, or the family account has been inactive for 24 months.
  • Security: we keep a written information-security program that covers children's information.

If we learn that a child has created their own Chorevana account, we will delete it. The operator responsible for children's information is:

  • Fuimus Labs (Cabal Enterprises, LLC)
  • 116 Agnes Rd Ste 200, Knoxville, TN 37919
  • Phone: (615) 549-8514
  • Email: support@fuimuslabs.com

Who we share it with

Your family. Everyone in your family can see its members' names, tasks, completions, points, rewards, and notifications.

Service providers that process data for us, under contract:

  • Google Cloud and Firebase (hosting, database, sign-in, push notifications).
  • RevenueCat (subscription status).
  • Apple and Google (sign-in if you use it, push delivery, and purchases).
  • Google Fonts (the app loads its fonts from Google, which receives your IP address).

Legal and safety reasons. We share information when the law requires it or when needed to protect someone's safety.

Business transfers. If Fuimus Labs is sold or merged, your information may transfer to the new owner, and this policy will still apply to it.

Apple and Google

When you download the app or buy a subscription, Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) handles that transaction under its own privacy policy. We never receive your payment card details.

If you have chosen in your device settings to share diagnostics with app developers, Apple or Google may give us crash reports and aggregated usage statistics. They do not identify you, and we use them only to fix problems.

How long we keep it

  • Family data is kept while your family account is active.
  • Removing a family member deletes that member's profile and history within 30 days.
  • Deleting your account deletes your login and your personal information within 30 days. If you are the family's only admin, the whole family and all of its data are deleted too. See how to delete your account.
  • Inactive families: if no account holder in a family signs in for 24 months, we delete the family and its data.
  • In-app notifications are deleted after 7 days. Family Codes expire after 24 hours.
  • Our servers keep request logs (which include IP addresses) for about 30 days. Copies of deleted data can remain in those logs for up to that long.

How we protect your information

  • All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS).
  • Our data is stored on Google Cloud, which encrypts it at rest.
  • Access to production systems is limited to the people who need it to run the service.
  • PINs are stored only as one-way hashes.
  • Family Codes expire after 24 hours and are protected against repeated guessing.

No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the authorities if a breach affects you, as the law requires.

Your choices and rights

In the app, admins can edit or remove family members, unlink devices, export the family's data to a spreadsheet, and delete data. Any account holder can delete their own account in Settings.

You can also ask us to:

  • give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you,
  • correct information that is wrong,
  • delete your information, or
  • stop a particular use of it.

Email support@fuimuslabs.com from the address on your account. We may need to confirm your identity first. We respond within 30 days, or sooner where the law requires. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.

US state privacy rights

We do not sell your personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, use it for targeted advertising, or use it for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

If you live in a state with a consumer privacy law (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, or Texas), you may have the rights described above: to know, access, correct, delete, and port your information. If we decline a request, you can appeal by replying to our decision with the word "Appeal". We will answer within the time your state's law allows.

Users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland

Cabal Enterprises, LLC, trading as Fuimus Labs, is the controller of your personal data. We rely on these legal bases:

  • Contract: to provide Chorevana to you and your family.
  • Legitimate interests: to keep Chorevana secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems.
  • Consent: for optional features such as notifications, and for any processing of children's data that requires a parent's consent.
  • Legal obligation: where the law requires us to keep or disclose information.

Your data is processed in the United States. Where the law requires, we rely on our providers' Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards for this transfer.

In addition to the rights above, you may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect processing that already happened). You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes to this policy

If we change how Chorevana handles your information, we will update this page and its effective date before the change takes effect. For material changes, we will also let you know in the app or by email.
